Real Madrid  star want to play with Lionel miss at Barcelona.

An important Real Madrid player who can be counted as a regular is eyeing a move to Barcelona in order to play alongside Lionel Messi.

Real Madrid ended a dismal season with a 2-0 defeat to Real Betis in the Santiago Bernabeu, their 18th of the campaign. Meanwhile, arch rivals Barcelona missed out on a chance to lift the UEFA Champions League but are marching towards a domestic double, their second in a row, and also the fifth successive Copa del Real

The Whites are going to sell off some key players once the transfer window opens and will sign better ones as well. Gareth Bale, Dani Ceballos and Marcos Llorente are the three who have already been informed by Zinedine Zidane that they are not in his plans and there will definitely be more players who will have to find newer pastures.

It has been widely thought that Isco Alarcon could be among those heading out of the Spanish capital. Julen Lopetegui considered the Spaniard very important, but Santiago Solari nearly ruined Isco’s career during his time at the helm. Zinedine Zidane is keen on helping the former Malaga man rejuvenate, but he isn’t sure yet about keeping him in Madrid.

According to Diario GOL, the Madridistas’ biggest fear is that Isco would be headed to arch rivals Barcelona where he would be a tremendous hit. Reportedly when the attacking midfielder signed fresh terms with Real Madrid, he told Florentino Perez to pay him a certain amount of salary and failure in doing so would result in Isco being at Barcelona to play with Messi.

Consider all rationalities, it seems absolutely unlikely that Real Madrid will sell Isco to their Catalan counterparts even if they pay through their mouth. Meanwhile, Manchester City are interested in moving for the Spanish midfielder and will have to meet Real’s demand of 80 million euros to sign Isco.

Vincent Kompany announced on Sunday that he will leave Manchester City

Vincent Kompany

Vincent Kompany announced on Sunday that he will leave Manchester City after 11 trophy-laden years to become player-manager of Anderlecht.

Belgian defender Kompany joined City in 2008 and made 360 appearances, winning four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups and two Community Shields.

The 33-year-old signed off with victory in the FA Cup final on Saturday, where the club captain lifted the trophy after City thrashed Watford 6-0 to complete a domestic treble.

"As overwhelming as it is, the time has come for me to go. And what a season to bow out," Kompany said.

"I feel nothing but gratefulness. I am grateful to all those who supported me on a special journey, at a very special club."

Anderlecht is the Belgian club where Kompany began his professional career before joining Hamburg and he admitted he is relishing the chance to move into management.

"I choose to be grateful for the past but remain ambitious and driven for the future. For the next three years, I will take up the role of player-manager of Anderlecht. Belgium's finest," he wrote on Facebook.

"This may come as a surprise to you. It's the most passionate yet rational decision I've ever made."

Kompany was in tears after scoring a dramatic long-range winner in City's final home game of the season against Leicester on May 6, a result that moved them to the brink of the Premier League title.

Speaking at the time, he hinted his emotional response might have been triggered by a potential departure.

But he waited until the season was over before finally confirming the end of his glorious spell at City.

"I will never forget how all Man City supporters remained loyal to me in good times and especially bad times. Against the odds you have always backed me and inspired me to never give up," Kompany said.

"(Club owner) Sheikh Mansour changed my life and that of all the City fans around the world, for that I am forever grateful. A blue nation has arisen and challenged the established order of things, I find that awesome."

Kompany has been ravaged by injuries in recent years and he featured in only 17 of City's 38 league games this season because of muscle problems.

CITY ICON

However, he will be remembered for his influence on and off the pitch, a contribution that established him as the heartbeat of City's greatest era.

He led City to a first top-flight title since 1968 in 2012 and goes down as one of the most iconic players in the club's history.

Along with Sergio Aguero and David Silva, Kompany is one of only three survivors from the 2012 title triumph.

Kompany also paid tribute to his teammates and manager Pep Guardiola.

"It's cliche to say it but it's also so true: without my teammates, I would have never been here today," he said.

"We fought many battles together. Side by side. In good times and in bad. So to all of you, from the 2008-2009 squad to today's domestic treble winners: I owe you guys!

"A special word also to Pep and the backroom staff: you've been superb. You've followed me through so much hardship. You made me come back stronger every time. Thank you so much."

In September, City will hold Kompany's testimonial match, from which he will donate all profits to Manchester's homeless.

City chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak told the club's official website: "There have been many important contributors to Manchester City's renaissance, but arguably none are more important than Vincent Kompany.

"He defines the essence of the club. For a decade he has been the lifeblood, the soul, and beating heart of a supremely talented squad.

"A booming voice in the dressing room yet a quiet and measured ambassador off it, Vincent can be as proud of himself as we are of him."

City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, Kompany's club and country teammate, tweeted: "Playing for about 10 years with this man for club and country. And what an privilege it's been.

"Big player, Big personality and big leader. Learned a lot from you. Wishing you all the best for the future."

Real Madrid ‘Complete Signing Of Eintracht Frankfurt Striker Luka Jovic In £52.4million Deal’

Real Madrid ‘Complete Signing Of Eintracht Frankfurt Striker Luka Jovic In £52.4million Deal’

By meekparagon

Spanish club, Real Madrid have reportedly completed the signing of Serbian and Eintracht Frankfurt striker, Luka Jovic for £52.4million.

According to Sky in Germany, the 21-year-old signed a five-year contract with the Spanish giants, which will earn him £43.7m (€50m) in total a year.

Frankfurt will pay Jovic’s former club Benfica around £10.5m of the transfer fee.

The striker joined Frankfurt on loan from Benfica in the summer and last month the Bundesliga club exercised their option to make the move permanent.

Jovic has scored 17 goals in 31 Bundesliga appearances this season and 10 more in the Europa League.

The signing of Jovic would bring the number of new additions to Zinedine Zidane‘s squad for the 2019/20 season to three. Porto’s Brazilian defender Eder Militaoagreed to a move to Bernabeu in March, while Santos forward Rodrygo Goes will join up with the squad after agreeing his move last year.

Transfer analysis. By meekparagon

Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho could cost in excess of £100m

The Premier League season reached a thrilling climax just three days ago - but clubs are already switching their attention to the 2019-20 season.

The summer transfer window opens for business this Thursday, 16 May and will remain so until 8 August.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted he "need players in" after finishing sixth, 32 points behind champions Manchester City.

It's still early and most clubs are looking at many names, options and scenarios with no doubt some complications and complexities to come. Things can and do change.

But here's my guide to where the top six could make changes this transfer window.

Manchester City keen on Rodri

Rodri (left) played 46 games across all competitions for Atletico this season, scoring twice

The priorities are a 'number six' and a left-sided central defender.

Atletico Madrid's Spanish holding midfielder Rodri, 22, is among those being considered for the 'number six' role.

The aim of that signing is to produce an eventual successor to 34-year-old Fernandinho. City will not be signing Sporting Lisbon's Bruno

With Vincent Kompany's future uncertain, they also want a left-sided central defender.

One player City are certainly keen on is Crystal Palace's 21-year-old right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka. I'm told they'll face a straight battle with Manchester United and despite preferring to stay in London, he wouldn't be averse to moving north.

City have shown interest in Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell, 22, and Fulham's 18-year-old winger Ryan Sessegnon. But the form of Oleksandr Zinchenko - allied to the problems they would face selling the injury-prone Benjamin Mendy - mean that interest has cooled.

Contract talks were held last summer with Germany midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, however no agreement was reached. And when City approached him again in January, he asked to postpone negotiations until the end of the season. It is understood he is likely to stay, even if he goes into the final year of his contract.

Another player City like is Joe Aribo from Charlton - they've initiated contact in the last 10 days. The 22-year-old left-footed central midfielder has scored 10 goals in 37 appearances and is on their list as a homegrown squad option.

Low-key summer for Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of 19-year-old striker Rhian Brewster

Liverpool are the most settled of the Premier League's top six and this is a summer of consolidation, having already stockpiled well. They've done their big shop, so don't need to do it weekly.

The feeling is that to improve their squad it would take astronomical spending and there are few 'gettable' players who can come in and be first choice.

Owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) don't just want to splash out, take a punt or spend for the sake of it; they'd rather be nimble, brave, smart and strategic.

Their aim has always been to get to a stage where they are ready to react and make game-changing signings when the need and the opportunity arise.

They feel they're now at that stage - as shown, for example, post Philippe Coutinho and with the acquisitions of Virgil Van Dijk and Alisson.

Currently the need, opportunity and level of finance required for such game-changing signings is not there.

So unless any unforeseen circumstances arise to change that, it will be a low-key, conservative window at Anfield.

One, maximum two signings - and for fees unlikely to surpass, for instance, the £13m Liverpool spent on Xherdan Shaqiri last summer.

With Alberto Moreno on his way out and Nathaniel Clyne likely to go too, full-back cover - especially on the left - is needed. But not necessarily specialist cover, rather a flexible full-back - somebody who can grow into the role or operate in various positions.

It's a similar situation in attack, with Daniel Sturridge set to depart but unlikely to be replaced like-for-like. Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of 19-year-old Rhian Brewster and therefore does not plan to recruit a back-up 'number nine'.

Instead, the Reds could sign a versatile attacker, allowing Klopp to shuffle the pack as and when he sees fit. Divock Origi is expected to stay, regardless of whether or not he signs a new deal.

Liverpool don't mind certain players entering the final year of their contracts and ultimately leaving for free, if they see greater relative value in them staying than exiting for a small fee.

Those who have enjoyed successful loan spells away from the club - the likes of Harry Wilson, Ryan Kent and Marko Grujic - could go out again on a temporary or permanent basis. There could also be movement for players such as Ben Woodburn, Sheyi Ojo and Ovie Ejaria.

Liverpool have been linked with Bayer Leverkusen's attacking midfielder Julian Brandt, but it's thought a move for the Germany international will not materialise.

Although they were keen on Brandt in the window before Mohamed Salah was signed, the 23-year-old realised he would not be guaranteed a starting place and decided to stay put. That predicament would be worse for him at Liverpool now and, with that in mind, his £21.5m release clause along with a probable five-year contract and agent fee is not viable.

Similar applies for RB Leipzig's Timo Werner and, previously, the Chelsea-bound Christian Pulisic. Why come to fight for a place when you can be first choice elsewhere?

Liverpool's pursuit of Nabil Fekir a year ago was genuine and at the time he fitted the bill. But in the end Shaqiri was signed, Klopp reworked the shape of his attack and experimented with other players, and he has Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to return. So as things stand Fekir, Brandt and Werner are not targets.

The unforeseen circumstances mentioned above would include a serious injury occurring or a key player demanding to leave. That said, Liverpool proved with Coutinho they are prepared to give a hard 'no', take the moral high ground and do things on their terms.

Among the players Paris St-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel has eyes on is Roberto Firmino, but it's not something the Reds would even consider.

Transfer ban defines Chelsea's summer

Chelsea could refuse to let Eden Hazard leave this summer, if their transfer ban stands

It all depends on their transfer ban and, because of that, no leading club faces greater recruitment uncertainty. I've heard the Court of Arbitration for Sport may not rule on that case until July, which falls bang in the middle of the transfer window.

Chelsea qualifying for the Champions League has, in one way, given them something of a headache. There are suggestions they may have reluctantly accepted the ban had they been in the Europa League; go with what they've got, get it over and done with.

But now they're in the top-tier competition, Chelsea need reinforcements to help them compete at that level and are, therefore, vigorously fighting the ban.

They desperately want a striker and also a wide attacker.

Should the ban stand, they will almost certainly take up the option of extending striker Olivier Giroud's contract and they can do the same with the on-loan Gonzalo Higuain. Michy Batshuayi and Tammy Abraham are on their books, too, of course.

As for the wide attacker/playmaker, Eden Hazard is being heavily linked with Real Madrid and he wants the switch to happen, but it's not a done deal.

If the ban stands, some feel Chelsea will refuse to let him go, accept missing out on a huge transfer fee and losing him for free a year later, in the hope that keeping him pays off on the pitch. With Pedro and Willian into their 30s and Callum Hudson-Odoi facing a long spell out injured, Hazard could be priceless.

If the ban is suspended, the Blues would be expected to sanction Hazard's departure and I've heard a potential replacement is Coutinho.

With Antoine Griezmann joining Barcelona, somebody needs to make way and the most likely candidate is Coutinho. In addition, his agent, Kia Joorabchian, has done a lot of work with Chelsea over the years.

Other possibilities include Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace. The 26-year-old wants to leave Selhurst Park this summer, but there is a feeling among suitors that Palace will set too high an asking price.

Let's not forget the pre-ban signing of Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund, which looks a shrewd piece of business.

In the striking department, Edinson Cavani and Marco Asensio are names that have been mentioned to me. PSG are looking to offload Cavani, whose relationship with Neymar is poor, while Asensio could be used by Real Madrid as part of the Hazard deal.

Tottenham to bid for Sessegnon

Tottenham, Manchester United, Paris St-Germain, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are all after Fulham starlet Ryan Sessegnon

It's going to be a summer of significant change at Tottenham, regardless of what happens in the Champions League final.

They're looking at players who haven't quite made it elsewhere - think Lucas Moura when he was out of favour at PSG, Malcom now at Barcelona - and at players who are not the finished article.

Spurs are fond of Ryan Sessegnon and the feeling is mutual. He would have stayed at Fulham if they had stayed up, but now they're resigned to his exit. They can't afford to lose Sessegnon for nothing next summer - if he went abroad they'd only get half a million pounds in compensation and if it was a Premier League club it would go to a tribunal.

Tottenham are yet to make an offer but the sense is that a bid is incoming and it would then be down to the clubs to agree a fee. They envisage Sessegnon initially playing on the left wing before dropping to left-back long term.

There has also been strong interest in Sessegnon from Manchester United, PSG, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig. Chelsea, too, but their transfer ban and the West London rivalry rules that out.

The 18-year-old wants his future sorted before the Under-21 European Championships, which start on 16 June, but Tottenham's participation in the Champions League could delay matters.

Meanwhile, there is a very good chance Christian Eriksen will be sold this summer. With the Dane seemingly unwilling to extend his contract, Spurs will want to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year. There is a slight possibility that he could pen a new deal, with a clause inserted that would allow him to join a leading club like Real Madrid or Barcelona if they made an approach.

Previously, Tottenham have pursued Aston Villa's Jack Grealish and Zaha. Grealish is expected to leave Villa if they miss out on promotion from the Championship, while Zaha can be signed at the right price.

Further back in midfield, Spurs would like to move on Victor Wanyama and possibly Eric Dier.

Centre-back Toby Alderweireld has a year left on his contact and a £25m release clause, so if the Belgian is sold he will need to be replaced. Jan Vertonghen is also going into the final year of his current deal.

Tottenham need a back-up striker as well. Given Fernando Llorente's role in their run to the Champions League final, that could yet be him. But the Spaniard is now 34, so clearly they may look elsewhere.

Arsenal look for Ramsey replacement

Aaron Ramsey is to end his 11-year association with the Gunners this summer

It won't be the most spectacular window, but the Gunners do have some very important business to conduct. The key question is the size of their budget.

With Europa League football, we're told it will be as low as around £40m. But with Champions League football, it will be higher. I've been led to believe that could mean up to £100m.

The higher figure would require player sales and also need to cover the salaries of signings. There's also a revenue boost that will come with Adidas taking over as Arsenal's kit supplier.

The low kitty is mainly explained by Arsenal's heavy investment in recent transfer windows, a total commitment to their self-sustaining model and the adherence to financial fair play (FFP) rules.

Despite the continued absence of a technical director, the existing recruitment team have identified targets and conversations are under way. They're looking for experience and youth.

Their priorities are a central defender and box-to-box midfielder.

Jeremy Wilson from The Telegraph mentioned Getafe centre-back Djene Dakonam, who is under contract until 2021 and has a 35m euros release clause.

The midfielder will replace the outgoing Aaron Ramsey.

Arsenal came close to a deal for PSG midfielder Christopher Nkunku in January, while Adrien Rabiot is another they've pursued in the past - but I've not heard that either are targets this time round.

Another position they would like to fill is a wide forward. In the last window, they tried to sign Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic and were also talking to Yannick Carrasco of Dalian Yifang. I doubt that interest will be reignited.

Other areas in which they will try to add depth are up front - Danny Welbeck is leaving and there is a desire to send Eddie Nketiah on loan - and at full-back.

We mentioned Thomas Tuchal's admiration of Roberto Firmino - he is also keen on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. But like Liverpool, Arsenal would rebuff any advances.

Decisions will need to be made on whether youngsters such as Reiss Nelson, Emile Smith Rowe, Joe Willock and Bukayo Saka are loaned out or integrated into the first team.

Manchester United want Koulibaly and Sancho

Kalidou Koulibaly featured 47 times for Napoli this season

United are looking at bringing in a mixture of young talent and experienced big names. And the priority areas for them are central defence, full-back, central midfield and the wings.

Their first-choice centre-back is Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly, however the Senegal international's hefty price is likely to scupper their hopes.

Koulibaly is 27, under contract until 2023 with a reported 150m euro (£130m) buy-out clause in 2021, and his club have no need to sell.

United will strongly rival Manchester City for full-back Wan-Bissaka, while in central midfield Rabiot is among those on their radar - though much will depend on what happens with Paul Pogba.

The big signing they had been hoping to land was Jadon Sancho.

I'm told he was the Red Devils' top attacking target and that they were his preferred option if he was to return to the UK from Borussia Dortmund this summer. A couple of months ago, he was open to the transfer and those involved felt it was nailed on.

But United's terrible end to the season has changed everything. Sancho is reluctant to give up Champions League football and if he is to move he wants to play for a club where stability, progression, development and a chance of winning trophies is guaranteed.

The 19-year-old England forward now harbours severe doubts that United can offer any of those assurances. I'm told 'never say never', but as things stand it is looking highly unlikely.

PSG, Barcelona and Real Madrid want Sancho, too, but there has been no contact from other Premier League clubs. The transfer fee to prise him from Dortmund this summer would be in excess of £100m, though he is not agitating for a move. It's looking 50-50.

United are among suitors for Swansea winger Daniel James but at the time of writing a deal is not close.

Liverpool forced Real to alter their plans and bring eden hazard.

Real Madrid were reportedly planning to announce the signing Eden Hazard from Chelsea after the Champions League final on June 1 but Liverpool’s win over Barcelona in the semi-finals has changed that.

L’Equipe are reporting that Liverpoolinadvertently forced Real to alter their plans and bring forward a potential decision and announcement of capturing Hazard.

Hazard appears to have played his last Premier League game for Chelsea but is set for a possible farewell in the Europa League final against Arsenal on Wednesday, May 29.

It’s not certain he will leave the Blues but reports around Europe insist that Real are close to agreeing a deal.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with Eden’s brother, Thorgan, but it is looking increasingly likely that the 26-year-old attacking Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder will remain in Germany with a move to Borussia Dortmund on the cards.

Loftus-Cheek out for up to a year – reports

BY meekparagon. 16/05/2019

Ruben Loftus-Cheek could be sidelined for as long as a year, according to reports.

The Sun say Chelsea fear the England midfielder suffered a ruptured Achilles during the friendly against New England Revolution and faces a long spell on the sidelines.

The injury is a massive blow for the player and for Chelsea – coming soon after Callum Hudson-Odoi suffered a ruptured Achilles.

If Loftus-Cheek has suffered the same injury, he faces at least six months out but it could be significantly longer if the damage is greater than in Hudson-Odoi’s case.

The timing could hardly be worse for Loftus-Cheek, who has struggled to establish himself as a regular first-team player at Chelsea – partly because he has been dogged by a persistent back problem – but has recently enjoyed a run in the side.

He has been discussing a new contract and has clearly been much happier at Stamford Bridge, having previously indicated that he might need to leave in order to get more game time.

Speaking at a press conference earlier this month, he said: “This is the most I’ve played, so it’s looking good for me. There’s no reason why I should be thinking about leaving Chelsea.

“I’m feeling really good now – the best I’ve felt. I haven’t felt a twinge in my back for weeks now, so it’s looking really good

the big Barcelona sales.

With the Catalan club looking to spend big this summer, they obviously need to offset that with several departures.

Thursday’s edition of Marca goes through the potential exits, and one of those is Samuel Umtiti.

Fate hasn’t been kind to the French defender over the past year, at least with his club. The Catalan media made it very clear Barcelona weren’t happy with the way Umtiti was going about getting a new contract.

They believed he was asking for too much money, and using his then €60m clause to almost threaten the club. He got his renewal, with a salary almost certainly lower than he was asking for, and managed to leave bad feeling in the Camp Nou corridors of power… and with some fans.

Then he spent months, much of the season, struggling with injury, and subsequently form, and now his exit is seen as a very real option.

With Barca hoping to sign Matthijs de Ligt, Umtiti would slip further down the pecking order than he already has, so cashing in becomes attractive.

Marca believe Barcelona are willing to sell for an offer around €40m, but there’s two problems.

Umtiti isn’t keen on leaving, and his knee problems could chase interest away. The 25 year old is currently fit, and there’s a good chance the knee issues are behind him, something which will be further helped by a summer off.

Mundo Deportivo also report Umtiti could be sold, and they say his price will ‘adjust to the realities of the current market’.

Chelsea fans, can Coutinho replace Hazard

Philippe Coutinho vs Eden Hazard

By: meekparagon

Posted on May 16, 2019

It is looking almost certain that next season Maurizio Sarri will have a big Eden Hazard-shaped hole at Chelsea to deal with.

The 28-year-old continues to be linked with a move to Real Madrid, with Sky Sports reporting that the Spanish giants are confident of getting their man.

And should that happen, according to BBC Sport‘s David Ornstein, the west London club could look to Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho to fill that very large hole Hazard is set to leave behind.

How, though, does the Brazilian compare to the man he could be replacing?

PHILIPPE COUTINHO

Though Coutinho has probably played the best football of his career as a midfielder, the 26-year-old is still a very capable winger, so it is not a surprise to see Chelsea earmark him as a potential Hazard replacement.

He can dribble, cut inside, pass and shoot, making him ideal for a forward position.

He is not as quick as Hazard, though, while at Barcelona it has not quite worked out for him down that left flank.

Considering that, you can understand any reservations Chelsea supporters may have about signing the Brazil international.

But even so, there is no denying Coutinho’s talent. He is still a world-class player and, as he showed at Liverpool, he can cause absolute havoc down that left-hand side.

Sorry, video content is not available in your country.

TT GRADE: A-

EDEN HAZARD

It is some boots Coutinho will have to fill should he arrive at Stamford Bridge as Hazard’s successor.

The Belgian was at his brilliant best this season, providing the most amount of assists in the Premier League while also finishing the campaign as Chelsea’s top goalscorer.

With his incredible dribbling, vision and finishing, Hazard managed to drag Sarri’s men to a third-place finish.

Without him, Chelsea probably would have been fighting against the likes of Wolves and Watford for seventh. In his absence, the Blues have been that poor, unable to conjure up anything in attack.

No pressure, Coutinho.

TT GRADE: A*

TT VERDICT:

Coutinho alone will not be able to make up for the loss of Hazard. In this Chelsea side, the Belgium captain is both the chief creator and leading goalscorer.

Bearing that in mind, the Blues will probably need to sign a new striker, on top of Coutinho, once Hazard departs.

While he would certainly be a good addition, Coutinho is still an inferior player to Hazard and does not look capable of producing the same numbers as the Chelsea man.

The Belgian has been linked with a move to Real Madrid

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is trying his best to convince Eden Hazard to stay at Chelsea.

There is a growing feeling that the Europa League final against Arsenal later this month will mark the last appearance for the Belgium international in a Chelsea shirt.

This is because of recent reports which claim that an agreement with La Liga giants Real Madrid has been struck, and an €100m deal will be announced after showpiece occasion in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The 28-year-old has only a year left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge and he hasn't come close to signing a new one, with the Belgian having made it clear that a decision on his future will be made public very soon.

A number of Chelsea fans have made their feelings on the matter loud and clear.

They want him to stay, going as far as to sing a 'Eden Hazard we want you to stay' chant in attempts to ensure he rejects a move to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

Chelsea would miss Hazard - Loftus-Cheek and Jorginho

And supporters will love the fact Loftus-Cheekis doing the same.

"I've been singing that to his face, in the dressing room!," Loftus-Cheek revealed to Sky Sports. "Everyone at the club wants him to stay, players, fans, management staff, he's such a talent, a player that has contributed massively to the club over the past seven years.

"Everyone's enjoyed watching him play over the past seven years and if he does decide to move on I wish him all the best."

The Blues take on the New England Revolution and say the match will be an ‘important message of combating antisemitism and all forms of discrimination’

Chelsea take on the New England Revolution this week in a friendly match ahead of the Europa League final.

The Blues are in Boston to take on the MLS side in a ‘Final Whistle on Hate’ match on Wednesday night.

Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea face the New England Revolution in a friendly this week

The club say the game will showcase an ‘important message of combating antisemitism and all forms of discrimination.’

“The initial idea for our visit to New England was developed by the two clubs’ owners Roman Abramovich and Robert Kraft, in light of a global rise in antisemitic activity and hate crimes, including the tragic massacre at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh on 27 October last year, during which 11 innocent people lost their lives while worshipping,” Chelsea say.

In addition, both owners have donated $1 million in support of the cause.

The Gillette Stadium is also home to Super Bowl champions the New England Patriots

“I am proud of the work Chelsea does to promote equality and tackle discrimination all over the world,” Abramovich told chelseafc.com.

“The Say No To Antisemitism campaign has already achieved so much in raising awareness of this important issue, but there remains a lot of work to do. I am delighted to join forces with New England Revolution and Mr Kraft in this initiative and we look forward to the match.”

As well as that message, Chelsea’s season is of course not over yet.

Barcelona eyes €35 million-priced Real Betis star

Transfer: Barcelona eyes €35 million-priced Real Betis star

By: meekparagon may 10-2019

Spanish heavyweights Barcelona is reportedly closing in on the signing of Real Betis goalkeeper Pau Lopez. The Blaugrana is keen on bringing the 24-year-old shot stopper to Camp Nou to deputize Ter Stegen with second-choice goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen set to depart this summer.

Pau Lopez has impressed in La Liga this season after he joined the Beticos on a free transfer from Barca's Catalonia rivals Espanyol in 2018. Back in 2016, the Spanish goalkeeper was at the centre of controversy after he repeatedly stamped on Lionel Messi when the two players became entangled during a domestic cup fixture between his former club and Barcelona.

Apparently, the two players might soon become teammates and according Estadio Deportivo as per Catalan publication Sport, Betis will look to do business should Barcelona activate the goalkeeper's 35 million-euro release clause. Nonetheless, it is understood that Barcelona is not willing to spend that amount of money on the 24-year-old shot-stopper and will potentially submit a player plus cash offer to Real Betis.

Meanwhile, while Pau Lopez may be among the new recruitments that may head to Camp Nou, a few star names in the Barca ranks will possibly head out in the opposite direction. Recent speculations indicate that Philippe Coutinho, Ivan Rakitic, Samuel Umtiti and Malcom may be offloaded.

Valverde's future as Barcelona coach revealed

Date to decide Valverde's future as Barcelona coach revealed

Barcelona's execs admitted that they would take their time to decide what they would do with Ernesto Valverde. Now, the date when the tactician could live his final day as Blaugrana boss has been revealed.

With the Copa del Rey title yet to be played, Blaugrana boss Josep Maria Bartomeu has decided to keep things as they stand until May 25, the date when Los culés are set to face Valencia. One day after that match, Valverde's tenure as coach could come to an end.

A report by Marca suggests that Valverde could live his final days as boss no matter what happens on May 25, mainly because there is no faith in Valverde's capabilites to lead Barcelona to a UEFA Champions League title. Yes, he is close to winning a double with Barcelona again, but the continental title was a priority for this season, and the Blaugrana side crashed out of the competition in spectacular fashion for the second year in a row.

What makes matters worse is that Valverde is being held responsible for the outcome of that tie, since Liverpool dominated both legs "thanks" to his lack of adjustments on said matches. Furthermore, Marca states that those who supported Valverde from within Barcelona's presidency have had a change of heart, and that has also reflected on the team, since some of the leaders -such as Lionel Messi- don't trust his decisions anymore.

As of now, the idea of having Valverde around to live up to his contract (which expires in 2020) has not been discarded, but a number of resumes are being analyzed to take over. Ronald Koeman, Erik Ten Hag, and other top-caliber names are being considered, but no moves on that matter will take place until May 26, one day after the Copa del Rey final is played.

David Luiz has been rewarded for a stellar season at Chelsea

The centre-back has signed a new two-year contract at the club.

DEFENDER DAVID LUIZ has signed a two-year contract extension with Chelsea, the Premier League club announced on Friday.

The 32-year-old’s previous deal was due to expire at the end of the season but the Brazil international will now remain at Stamford Bridge until June 2021.

Centre-back Luiz has been a mainstay in Maurizio Sarri’s side this season, making 48 appearances in all competitions and scoring three goals, helping Chelsea secure a top-four finish in the Premier League and book a place in the Europa League final against Arsenal.

Speaking to the club’s website, Luiz said: “I am so happy to be here and to have this opportunity to stay. I love this club and I still have the ambition of a young player.

“It means a lot to reach another European final, and we still have the opportunity to finish in the top three of the Premier League this season and I will continue to try to do my best to help the team.”

Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia said Luiz has “set the perfect example to those around him throughout the campaign and been a huge influence on and off the pitch”.

UEFA give reason the the allocate of 2019 Europa ticket between Chelsea vs arsenal

final
By: Kelvin may 10-2019

UEFA has defended its decision to allocate a small fraction of the ticket for the 2019 Europa League final which will feature Chelsea and Arsenal. The European football governing body gave each club just 6,000 tickets for the all-English final scheduled for May 29 at the 68,700 seater Olympic Stadium in Baku, Azerbaijan.

In wake of the development, both Chelsea and Arsenal are reportedly working to get a more improved percentage of the tickets and the latter even described the situation as "disappointing" in a statement released on Friday. Nevertheless, UEFA has revealed that there is no alterior motive behind the ticket allocations for both Chelsea and Arsenal.

Per a statement released by the association, the host city of Baku will be unable to handle a troop of over 15,000 fans, hence the decision to award both Chelsea and Arsenal 6,000 seats apiece.

"Based on UEFA's recent experience with UEFA Europa League finals and the UEFA Super Cup in comparable venues, the number of finalists' supporters requesting tickets for a UEFA Europa League final can vary greatly from club to club," the statement read.

"Of course, it is impossible to predict in advance which clubs will reach the final, while the venue has to be chosen around two years in advance.

"Taking into consideration the above and, most importantly, the geographical location and logistical capacity of airports in and around the host city, it was deemed that around 15,000 spectators would be able to travel from abroad.

"Offering more tickets to fans of the participating teams, without any guarantee that they would be able to arrange suitable travel to reach Baku, was therefore not a responsible option.

"Based on these circumstances, for this year's UEFA Europa League final in Baku, 6,000 tickets have been made available to each of the finalists."

Relatively, fans of Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have expressed their dissatisfaction towards UEFA after it allocated just 16,613 tickets for the Champions League final in Atletico Madrid's 68,000-capacity Wanda Metropolitano stadium.

Giroud wants nothing more than to beat Arsenal for the Europa League trophy

Giroud wants nothing more than to beat Arsenal for the Europa League trophy

Set to face his former team in the final

By meekparagon May 10, 2019, 9:58pm BST

Olivier Giroud joined Chelsea from Arsenal in January 2018, with the express intent to play a big role in winning trophies. Last season, he did just that, starting ahead of Alvaro Morata and winning the FA Cup final against Manchester United. This season, he’s set to do the same in the Europa League final, against his old team incidentally.

As the competition’s leading goalscorer — joint-top on 10 goals with Eintracht Frankfurt’s Luka Jovic — he should continue to start ahead of Gonzalo Higuain and will hopefully come out on the winning side once again.

While Giroud has been a bit dissatisfied with his playing time in the Premier League, he’s been fantastic in Europe. He may not have scored in Thursday night’s win, but gave it his all (including drawing a top class save from Kevin Trapp with a flicked finish at the near post) before making way for Higuain.

“We are very happy obviously. I want to give credit to the Frankfurt team and their fans because they never gave up.

“They played very well in both legs and it has been difficult for us to play our game. They came back into the game and when it comes to penalties it is 50-50 so at the end we have been a bit lucky but thanks to Kepa and his performance, we could win this game and we are very pleased to reach the final. We know how good Kepa is on penalties so we trust him. He did very well so I am very pleased for him because he is a really good keeper and he deserved it.”

“We want to win a trophy every single year and it is our last chance. [...] I did not have the good opportunities to score. He [Jovic] got two in the semi-final but I am going to play in the final and obviously I would be very pleased to help this team win the trophy.”

Chelsea remain unbeaten in Europe this season — 17 in a row in the Europa League itself, dating back to 2013 — and now just need one more win to get the latest trophy for the display case.

No better platform than Baku on May 29 for Giroud, who’s contract it set to expire afterwards, to make his mark again for the Blues. (Petr Cech will be hoping to do that same at other end of the pitch, incidentally, adding yet another interesting subplot to the occasion.)
